Buzzing Power
I suppose I have read in stories about the “buzzing” of power lines but I never really experienced it until this day. Maybe it was because of the storms near by, but you could actually hear the lines buzzing and kinda feel a tingle on your neck. It was pretty eery. I didn’t stay around long.
Happy friday everyone! Have a great memorial day weekend. I may have a post up on Monday, but I may also take the day off. We will see. :-)

  • Artisan & Artist Strap for Fuji X100S
I needed a stap for my X100S and I searched all over the internet trying to find the right one, but I always kept coming back to this one. It was much more money than I really wanted to spend on a strap, but it would be worth if I loved it. And I do.
What attracted me to it was the lack of hardware. It was just cloth, leather, and rings to connect to the camera. Nothing to clank around and be annoying.
One thing I really like about this strap is the body protector. Right where the ring connects to the camera, there is a leather pad that goes between the ring and the camera. This keeps the ring from scratching up the side of the camera. A very nice detail.
I chose the green strap because it is subtle but classic. I really like the way the red accent on the strap looks with my red soft-release.
I normally do not like camera straps at all. All of my other cameras sit in a camera bag with a couple lenses and no straps. The X100S is the camera I grab when I don’t want to bring a bag. If I am going out with my wife or something I just grab the X100S and sling it around my shoulder.
That is why I love this strap. It is light and soft and I can wear it around my neck, or extend it as a shoulder strap.
Sorry about the bathroom pictures. It is the only mirror in our apartment. :-)
If you don’t mind spending the money, it is really great strap. I got mine here.

  • thignat asked: was checking out your blog. dope stuff. i'm debating between an x100s and x pro 1 and noticed you shoot with both. which do you think has the better image quality. is it just me or does the x pro produce better images? Is the "Summertime" set from the x100s?
  • Answer:

    Thanks man.

They actually both have the same sensor so it really comes down to the lenses. The X100S has the fixed 23mm f2.0 which is a great everyday lens and is really sharp except close up at f2. It is small and quiet and I love carrying it around. But the X Pro-1 has a variety of lenses that are all really great. Just depends on what you want out of a camera I guess.

The Summertime set was with the X100S.
